Farm Structure Survey is an important statistical survey that is envisaged to compile the data on agricultural assets of holdings in the territory of the Republic of Serbia. The provided information on the the size of holdings, utilized land area, categories of agricultural land use, utilization of mineral fertilizers, number of livestock and number of beehives, realized production, agricultural machinery and equipment, labour force employed on holdings, and information on agricultural and other gainful activities of holdings, are all of vital importance for socio-economic analyses and planning.
The Survey is implemented on the sample of about 120 000 holdings. Each holding to be covered by the Survey will be accordingly advised in due course by post mail. The family holdings and holdings of unincorporated enterprises will be visited by authorized interviewers, who will use laptops to enter the obtained replies into the electronic questionnaire. The holdings of legal entities will carry out their own data entry into the web questionnaire.
The Survey will be implemented in the period from 1 October to 30 November 2018.
Yes, the responsiveness is expected on compulsory basis, since the Survey is conducted pursuant to the Official Statistics Law. The cases of refused cooperation and provided false replies are subject to misdemeanour liability and penalties.
If your holding shall be covered by the Survey, your true and precise reply to each question is required, since this is of crucial importance for the successful implementation of the Survey. If a question is not clear enough, please feel free to ask the interviewer to give you additional explanations. Legal entities can keep in touch with the contact person that will be named in the notice on the Survey implementation. In addition, for all other questions and needed clarifications during the period of the Survey implementation in field the info centre will be organized at the SORS.
The accuracy of replies provided by the Survey will upgrade the knowledge about the real status of the Serbian agriculture: what we can offer and what we need. This is a prerequisite also for your better planning of agricultural production, applying for the national and EU funds of assistance to agriculture and for your upgraded knowledge on the agricultural domains to invest in.
Yes. All personal and other data compiled by the Survey represent official statistics and therefore they are regarded as official secret and are subject to special protection, which is ensured in all stages of the Survey implementation. The confidentiality of individual data is guaranteed according to the Official Statistics Law and these data shall be published in aggregated form only. Any misuse of official statistics shall entail misdemeanour liability as prescribed by the Law.
